On the 19th, Marbella, a member of the Spanish third division, announced that former Spanish national team forward Jose Cajejon will retire from active play this season.
Kajehon was born on February 11, 1987 and is currently 38 years old. He grew up in Real Madrid's Cantera (training organization), but he transferred to Espanyol in the summer of 2008, before making his first team debut with the club. Over the course of three years, he made a comedic appearance at Espanyol, 12 goals and 14 assists in 106 official matches, and returned to Real Madrid in the summer of 2011.
At Real Madrid, Portuguese national team forward Cristiano Ronaldo (now Al Nasr) and former Argentine national team forward Angel di Maria (now Benfica) were also involved, so although he had limited opportunities, he played as the Joker, and during his two years he played in 77 official matches and recorded 20 goals and 7 assists. He moved to Napoli in the summer of 2013.
Although he was his first attempt at Serie A, he secured his position in Napoli with his main right wing from his first year of joining. He contributed to the Coppa Italia victory in the 2013-14 and 2019-20 seasons. He made his debut in November 2014, and has played in five international A matches so far. In his seven seasons with Napoli, he played in 349 official matches and scored 82 goals and 79 assists, leaving behind impressive numbers, and left Napoli in the 2019-20 season.
