It appears Manchester United are approaching signing Brazilian national team forward Mateus Cunha, who plays Wolverhampton (Wolves). British media Sky Sports reported on the 19th.
Under manager Ruben Amorim, who took office in November last year, Manchester United have achieved certain results, reaching the Europa League (EL) finals, but still falling in 16th place in the Premier League, where only the final round was left. Kunya, who wears “No. 10” for the Wolves, is also one of the players Manchester United is interested in. There is no direct contact with the Wolves yet, but formal procedures are expected to be carried out after the end of this season. Although Arsenal and Aston Villa were also interested, Cunya appears to be keen to play for Manchester United.
Fabrizio Romano, an Italian journalist who is well-versed in the transfer market, also pointed out that Manchester United is approaching the acquisition of Cunha. Negotiations regarding individual terms have already reached the final stage, with all that remains is to adjust the details.
