Teikyo Nagaoka, who was third in the national championship last year and is aiming for a fourth consecutive victory in the prefectural championship, was suspended for over 40 minutes due to bad weather, but he crushed Kaishi International 5-0 with midfielder Yoshiwara Takuya (3rd year, Nagaoka JYFC) scored two goals. Niigata Meikun defeated Hokuetsu 1-0, and advanced to the finals for the first time in three tournaments. In the 31st minute of the second half, forward Tashiro Rensho (Nagaoka JYFC), who was the second-year student and wearing the number 10 jersey, brilliantly scored the winning goal. The final on June 1st (changed from 1:30pm to start at 2pm) will be held at Isokono Park Athletics Stadium.

Manager Furuzawa Toru (39) conserved his main players, but he advanced to the finals with a big win. “The players who had no chance to play worked hard, and the players who weren't able to play today were motivated for the finals.” He feels a sense of accomplishment as he grows while winning, including the Premier League WEST, the main battlefield.

The team's spring goal is to surpass last year's national overall rankings of third place. The fourth consecutive victory in the prefectural tournament is a passing goal. “I've always said I'm going to prepare to advance to the prefectural and national tournaments, but I lost to Niigata Meikun in the semi-finals of last fall's championship. I'm going to take on it as a challenger. I'm going to go there very hard.” The moment the whistle starts to ring, he swallows Niigata Meikun.
