Ricky Saints' passage in NXT could be coming to an endafter his loss of the American championship against Ethan Page on Tuesday, May 27. While the fight itself was a very competed fight, the most important news is behind the scene, since the reports indicate that Saints is expected to be called to the main roster of WWE in the near future.

As Dave Meltzer advanced in the Wrestling Observer newsletter, the loss of the Saints title is part of a broader strategy, since the company prepares to transfer several talents to RAW or SmackDown. Meltzer pointed out that this movement, along with the recent title changes in NXT, seeks to open space for these emerging stars to join the wider scene of WWE.

“Stephanie Vaquer and Ricky Saints lost their titles this Tuesday in Nxt. Vaquer lost the title of Nxt in a surprising defeat against Jacy Jayne, and Saints the American title against Ethan Page. The reason was that both are expected, together with Jordynne Grace, to be in the main cast soon.”

The information also pointed out that Stephanie Vaquer is expected to be part of the Raw and Jordynne Grace Roster of SmackDown, although it is not clear what the destination mark for Ricky Saints will be. It has not been revealed if his ascent will be like that of Roxanne Perez or Giulia through an ad or will be an ascent as part of a draft choice. A draft that WWE still has pending.

The possible arrival to the main roster is a great step for Saints, especially considering its excellent performance in NXT. While his reign as an American champion came to an end, it seems that WWE is preparing for a larger stage. With a roster full of talents such as Starks, Grace and Vaquer, the incorporation of these emerging stars will only strengthen the great cast of WWE's main roster.
