The legendary wrestling referee, Earl Hebnerthrow a spear in favor of his position colleagues, so that WWE finally recognizes the referees as deserving of being part of the Hall of Fame. During a recent interview in Muscle Memory with Musclemanmalcolm, the veteran referee did not hold on when talking about what he considers a flagrant carelessness by WWE.
“Many have remained in WWE and the referees deserve to be included in the WWE Hall of Fame. I could mention names like Mike Chiode, Nick Patrick, Teddy Long, Joey Marella, and you know, the boys of the old school, Not from the young school, boys from the old school. People who leave the skin and know what happens. They have never considered our work. We deserve it“
Hebner is a member of the TNA Wrestling Hall of Fame and according to many fans it deserves to be included in WWE's. Earl participated in some of WWE's most memorable fighting, including Montreal Screwjob of November 1997 in Survivor Series. The frustration of Earl Hebner is due to seeing fighters, managers, commentators and even celebrities, receiving recognition from the WWE Hall of Fame, while the referees remain practically ignored in their recognition.
To date, just a referee has been included in WWE's Hall of Fame and was in the “Warrior Award” category. It was Tim White, who was posthumously honored in 2023. Now, Earl Hebner hopes that in the coming years WWE will make an important change and remember the referees of the company.
