The veteran exluchador, Rick Morton, I would like there to be less changes in roles in current professional wrestling to define the character more and claim the figure of the rude characters. The perception of a heel in professional wrestling has changed a lot in recent decades. Thanks to groups such as NWO, D-Generation X and Bullet Club, current fans believe that a heel must have a certain presence.

This is not something that existed in the wrestling of the old school, since the heels were supposed to have no redeeming quality. The rock member 'N' Roll Expressrecently resorted to his official X account, to comment on today's heels, believing that being a legitimate heel in 2025 is an art in extinction.

“In the world of current show, being an authentic and legitimate heel is an art in decline. Why? Because 90% of the boys want ovations. Even when they are supposed to be the ones who receive the boos. Everyone wants pop, nobody wants criticism,”

Ricky Morton was last seen in AEW's programming being attacked by FTR, who recently made his heel turn after turning against his old Canadian friend, Adam Copeland. Morton is part of the WWE Hall of Fame since 2017 with his teammate Robert Gibson.
