Aston Villa appears to be approaching signing U-19 Dutch national team forward Zepiqueno Redmond, who plays for Feyenoord. This is reported by British media Athletic and Italian reporter Fabrizio Romano, who is well-versed in the transfer market.
Redmond, born June 22, 2006 and currently 18 years old, is a striker with a center forward position and has been a member of Feyenoord's youth organization since July 2019. He made his first team debut in November 2024 and played in nine official matches this season. He scored two goals in the KNVB Cup.
Redmond, who has been selected for the Dutch national team by generation by the U-16, is expected to have a future, but his current contract with Feyenoord is the end of this season until June 30th, 2025, and his future has been attracting attention.
Meanwhile, according to this report, Aston Villa, who had been eager to acquire a young forward since Colombian national team forward John Duran moved to Al Nasr in January this year, has agreed to sign a four-year contract until June 30th, 2029.
