Japan Professional Basketball League (Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo; Chairman: Shimada Shinji hereinafter “B.LEAGUE”) is pleased to announce that Utsunomiya Brex, who has been the annual champion of the Resona Group B.LEAGUE 2024-25 season, will be participating in the Basketball Champions League Asia (hereinafter “BCL Asia”) 2025, hosted by FIBA.

BCL Asia is a FIBA ​​tournament that was newly established last year, preceded by the Asian Champions Cup, which had been suspended since 2020 due to the global spread of COVID-19, and will be held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates from Saturday, June 7th to Friday, June 13th.
In this tournament, a total of nine clubs will be competing in Asia's No. 1 clubs, including the four clubs of the domestic league winners of the B.LEAGUE (Japan), the CBA (Chinese Basketball Association: China), the PBA (Korean Basketball Association: Korea), and the PBA (Philippines Basketball Association: Philippines), as well as the FIBA ​​WASL (West Asia Super League), the winners and runner-up clubs (2 clubs), the winners and runner-up clubs of BCL Asia East (2 clubs), and the UAE League 2023-24 Champion Club as the venue slot.
The winning clubs of this tournament will qualify for the FIBA ​​Intercontinental Cup, scheduled for the event in September 2025.
