The largest U-17 World Cup ever, has been combined! Japan is in the same group as Portugal, Morocco and New Caledonia.

It will be held in Qatar in November

On May 25th, FIFA held a draw for the U-17 World Cup (World Cup) to be held in Doha, Qatar in November, and Japan was in the same group as Morocco, New Caledonia and Portugal in Group B.

This tournament will feature 48 teams, the largest in history, taking part in the same way as next year's North and Central America World Cup. It will be held from November 3rd to 27th.

Japan, which was the last eight in the U-17 Asian Cup in Saudi Arabia, won a World Cup ticket. The group stage of the U-17 World Cup will be held in 12 groups from four countries, with 32 countries, including the top two teams in each group and the top eight teams in third place, to advance to the final tournament. It will be held in the same format as the 2026 World Cup in North and Central America.

Japan will face Morocco, New Caledonia and Portugal in Group B, aiming to advance to the final tournament. What results can we achieve with a much-changed tournament format?

The groupings are as follows:

Group A: Qatar, Italy, South Africa, Bolivia
Group B: Japan, Morocco, New Caledonia, Portugal
Group C: Senegal, Croatia, Costa Rica, United Arab Emirates
Group D: Argentina, Belgium, Tunisia, Fiji
Group E: England, Venezuela, Haiti, Egypt
Group F: Mexico, South Korea, Ivory Coast, Switzerland
Group G: Germany, Colombia, Democratic People's Republic of Korea, El Salvador
Group H: Brazil, Honduras, Indonesia, Zambia
Group I: USA, Burkina Faso, Tajikistan, Czech Republic
Group J: Paraguay, Uzbekistan, Panama, Ireland
Group K: France, Chile, Canada, Uganda
