It has been announced that ENHYPEN, a popular K-POP group, will join the NBA's celebrity and influencer participation program in Asia, “Friends of the NBA.” This has been jointly revealed by the NBA and BELIFT LAB Inc., the label of HYBE, which ENHYPEN belongs to.
The collaboration will be held for several years, and ENHYPEN will be interacting with NBA fans around the world through a variety of content and events, including participating in the NBA ID Sweep Stakes held in Japan and South Korea, ahead of the NBA Finals, which will open on June 6th (5th local time).
A variety of content is expected to be released in the future on NBA and ENHYPEN's social media, as collaborations between the two will be released, and ENHYPEN will also appear at global events to share their experiences with the NBA with fans.
Regarding this announcement, ENHYPEN members commented, “We are extremely honored to have collaborated with the NBA. We look forward to sharing unique experiences with NBA fans around the world in a new and exciting way that goes beyond the stage.”
NBA Chief Marketing Officer Tammy Henaugh also said, “ENHYPEN is one of the world's most popular K-POP groups. We hope to bring an engaging approach to our fans by combining K-POP and sports, the core of music and culture.”
This initiative follows BTS' SUGA, which became an NBA ambassador in 2023, and LE SSERAFIM, which participated in “Friends of the NBA” in April 2024. The relationship between K-POP and the NBA is getting deeper and deeper.
