Manchester City appears to be considering signing Newcastle's England defender Tino Livlament. On the 23rd, Fabrizio Romano, who is well-versed in the transfer market, reported this.
Manchester City's England defender Kyle Walker, who has been a contribution as a right-back (SB), will be on loan to Milan this winter. Currently, Portuguese midfielder Mateus Nunes, who is not a major player, and England national team defender Rico Lewis, who is struggling with defensive challenges, are mainly playing as right-backs.
Walker and Milan's loans are up until June this year. However, coach Josep Guardiola has stated that the player will not be competing in the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 as a Manchester City player, and is expected to leave the club again this summer.
With reports that Juventus' Italian national team defender Andrea Cambiazo will be signed up until now, Manchester City is considering Livlament as the first candidate to reinforce right-back.
Livlament, now 22 years old, can play SB on either the left or right, is from Chelsea's youth team. He made his Premier League debut at Southampton in August 2021, and moved to Newcastle in August 2023. This season, he has played in 36 league games so far as the team's main player.
