Wrestlemania 2026 had everything ready to return to New Orleans, but WWE has decided to change the plan Without prior notice. Despite a great televised presentation at the beginning of the year, with The Rock as the protagonist of the official announcement, New Orleans city will no longer house the largest event of the year in 2026.

This Thursday, the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation confirmed through Wrestlenomics that the event has rescheduled for a year still to be determined: “Wrestlemania will move from the period scheduled in 2026 to a future year”, indicated the joint statement with WWE.

There has been no official reason for change, but WWE will not leave New Orleans without action. As part of a multiannual agreement with TKO Group HoldingsWWE and UFC parent company, it has been confirmed that Money in the Bank will arrive in the city in 2026. The specific date is not yet closed, although the event is usually held between June and July, as this year.

So far, WWE has not published a statement separately or has given additional statements. Even so, the message was presented as a joint communication between the company and the local foundation.

The Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation and New Orleans & Company are working closely with our Tko friends to expand our long -term collaboration. This will include UFC 318 on July 19, 2025, Money in the Bank in 2026 and Wrestlemania, which will go from its date provided in 2026 to a future year.

The announcement leaves a great unknown on the table: Where will Wrestlemania 2026 be finally celebrated? The new headquarters has not yet been revealed, although rumors have already begun to circulate. With cities such as Las Vegas and New Jersey paying millions in tax rates and benefits (5 million for Wrestlemania 41 and 7.1 million for Summerslam 2025) everything indicates that money has been a determining factor.
