It appears that Benato Lavine, who once led Tokushima Vortis, will become an assistant coach at Real Madrid.

Reporter Ramon de Alvarez Mont, who has been providing information on Real Madrid's specialist media Defence Central and La Galerna, reported on the 21st that Lavain has been selected to join Real Madrid through his official X. At Real Madrid, manager Carlo Ancelotti will step down at the end of this season and will be crucial to welcome Xavi Alonso as a new manager, but Lavine will join the coaching team as the staff supporting the new manager.

Xavi Alonso served as manager of the B-team of Real Sociedad, the former club he was active in for three years starting from the 2019-20 season, but Lavine was the chief analyst for the first team at the time. According to Defensa Central, the two had been friends since then. Xavi Alonso has directly conveyed his wishes to the club, and Lavine has joined the coaching staff. The media reported that “Benato, which has a perfect structure, will be the key to Xavi's projects.”

Lavine, now 37 years old, boasts a career as assistant coach and manager for Atletico Madrid's Cantera, an analyst for the Under-17 Spanish national team, and an assistant coach and analyst for Real Madrid's Cantera, and has since served as assistant coach for clubs such as Fuenlabrada, Elche and Leeds. From the 2018-19 season to the middle of the 2022-23 season, he showed his skill as the chief analyst for Real Sociedad, where Japanese national team midfielder Kubo Takefusa, played, and became the manager of Tokushima from the 2023 season.

However, in Tokushima, he has been in poor form, finishing with 11 games without victory since the start of the J2 season, and for a while it was sluggish in the bottom line. Although there was a period of recovery after that, the contract was cancelled in August of the same year, when he was caught up in a fight to remain in J2. Since then, Labain has served as assistant coach for Al Wakula and Real Zaragoza.
