Real Madrid's England midfielder Jude Bellingham will undergo surgery this summer to solve a long-standing problem. The BBC reported on the 21st.

Bellingham, currently 21 years old, has scored 14 goals and 14 assists in 51 official matches so far this season. However, since he injured his shoulder during the match against Ragio Vallecano on November 5th, 2023, it has been revealed that he has suffered from chronic pain.

Meanwhile, he finally decided to undergo surgery this summer to resolve this issue. However, after the end of La Liga this season, the new FIFA Club World Cup 2025 is scheduled to be held in the United States from June 15th to July 13th, so it appears that they will be undergoing surgery after this ends.

After undergoing surgery, Bellingham is expected to miss the entire preseason and at least six weeks after the start of the new season, and is reportedly expected to miss the FIFA World Cup 26 European qualifiers between Andorra and Serbia in September.
