All Elite Wrestling fighter, Darby Allin, has fulfilled his dream of climbing Mount Everest. Allin, 32, has been out of television since December to prepare for mountain adventure. Finally came to the top of Everest on Sunday and He fulfilled his promise to plant an AEW flag. He documented the achievement in his official Instagram account.
“Monte Everest Summit! What a adventure! Thank you @aew for everything in life. Thanks to the incredible Adventure Consultants team and the Sherpas team! It was crazy!”
Allin's team started climbing last month and his progress was followed through social networks by the company that organized the excursion. Last December, AEW's fighter spoke with Flickering Myth and revealed his motivation to embark on such an ambitious challenge and experience.
“That's why Mount Everest is so peaceful, the idea of climbing it. Because when you scauses, you can't simply talk, you can't waste energy speaking. So it is only you and your thoughts for about two months climbing that mountain. So you have to look in the deepest of your being and really discover who you are.
In day to day, you have all these distractions, be it the phone, television or anything else, but when you are alone with your thoughts, it is when you really discover who you are. You can deal with many problems that you have in your head when you simply have to endure them and you can't get distracted. So I think that is the funniest thing in Mount Everest: it is very therapeutic. ”
