The Japan Professional Basketball League (Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo; Chairman: Shimada Shinji hereinafter referred to as “B.LEAGUE”) is pleased to inform you that details and guests have been decided regarding the B.LEAGUE FINAL WEEK IN MANILA 2025, which will be held in the Metro Manila region of the Philippines from Thursday, May 22nd to Sunday, May 25th, 2025.

This event was planned to help people experience Japan's B.LEAGUE in the Philippines, where basketball is loved as a national sport. Through programs such as public viewing, clinics, and 3×3 tournaments, we will implement various initiatives based on B.LEAGUE's philosophy of not only helping people learn about the fun of B.LEAGUE, but also helping to solve social issues in local communities.

May 22nd (Thursday)


In the Philippines, where high obesity rates and educational disparities in children are considered a social issue, junior clinics are held with the aim of conveying the importance of proper hydration while feeling the joy of physical activity. Approximately 60 children, including Filipinos who work at local basketball clubs and Japanese students who attend Japanese schools, deepen their relationship and work together. In addition, Toyama Shinji, who is also a technical staff member for Japan, will also be visiting on the day as a supervisor of the clinic.

Profile of Toyama Shinji

Born in 1981. Graduated from Rikkyo High School and Rikkyo University. After being an external coach at a public junior high school in Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo, he served as Alvark Tokyo assistant coach at B.LEAGUE, as well as assistant GM and analyzer director for Osaka Evessa, and has served as technical staff for the men's Japanese national team and as a full-time coach for the Technical Committee from 2021.


Friday, May 23rd


As a new attempt to realize gender-equality, a three-person tournament will be held in which a mixed-gender team competes. Local Filipinos will be taking part.

We will be watching GAME1 from Resona Group B.LEAGUE FINALS 2024-25 live on a large screen. After the event, a meet-and-greet and talk session will be held by Dwight Ramos. Admission is free and anyone can visit.

Sunday, May 25th


We will be watching GAME2 from Resona Group B.LEAGUE FINALS 2024-25 live on a large screen. After the event, Kiefer Rabena will have a meet and greet. Admission is free and anyone can visit.

■We offer a variety of attractions at the B.LEAGUE booth and sponsoring booths.

■The uniform recycling campaign “Pass It Forward” will be held at the B.LEAGUE booth to promote the “3R -Reduce Reuse Recycle-“, which is important for environmental conservation. This is an initiative to have the uniforms that have been no longer worn and connect them to the next owner. Poverty is a major social issue in the Philippines. The uniforms collected at this event will be donated to poor children in the Philippines who want to play basketball.
