Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has ignited his feud with Manchester United icon Rio Ferdinand before Sunday’s game between both clubs. Ferdinand left TNT Sports in May 2025 and devotes his punditry to his YouTube channel, Rio Ferdinand Presents. The 47-year-old interviews football legends past and present as well as giving his opinion on the latest football news.
Carragher, who works for CBS Sports and the Telegraph, has seemingly taken umbrage to Ferdinand’s comments. The two pundits have previously bickered about topics such as Cristiano Ronaldo, the Saudi Pro League, the Africa Cup of Nations, and Mo Salah.
And their feud has continued on Sunday with Ferdinand posting a picture on social media platform X which showed him celebrating a United goal against the Reds – with a disappointed Carragher ahead of them.
Ferdinand accompanied the photo with a caption which said: “Caption this.” And Carragher has now responded.
He said: “Have some of that bruv, you Scouse xxxx” probably…….
“Not like you to make sure you were in the picture of someone else’s goal. You now carry on this ritual by hanging around mixed zones, bothering star players & asking your lackeys to film it!”
