Mexican media AM reported on the 19th that Monterrey, the country's first division, is in negotiations with Spanish commander Domenec Trent.
On the 12th of this month, Monterrey dismissed manager Martin DeMichelis, who played for the Argentina national team, Bayern and Manchester City while in his active career, and is currently looking for a new manager.
Amid this, the Mexican powerhouse was Trent, who had been in charge of Atletico San Luis in the league until May last year.
He became known as an assistant coach in the Spanish first division Barcelona in the 2008-09 season, and served as an assistant coach at strong European clubs such as Bayern and Manchester City. He has been the directors for MLS New York City, Flamengo, first division of Brazil, and Galatasaray, first division of Turkish.
San Luis, led by him last season, advanced to the playoff tournament (Rigigya), where he placed sixth in the league and was the first in the club to advance to the semi-finals.
